Adding in beautiful space holders...

Using a vintage piece

of luggage as a canvas...

Both the inside and the outside of these traveling vessels are waiting for us to add our own story in layers of paint, fabric and ephemera.

A lovely part of this workshop is deciding what we will fill our luggage with: Letters? Linens?  Warm lap blankets? Sweaters? Fabrics? Art Supplies? Important papers?

Or maybe we will pack up a few pieces of clothing and take our beautifully transformed suitcase on a vintage escape...xo.

This workshop includes six projects:

We transform three pieces of vintage luggage, a wooden box and we use the remnants of old luggage to become an art journal and a "luggage" book shelf.

Follow me down a creative rabbit hole full of joy and discovery!

Stitching ourselves into each piece...

Denise layered stitched fabric

with a bit of vintage paper & lots of tiny details...

Color & Wonder...

Like Catie, you will yourself lost

in the magic of color & composition.

Handles!

Every part of our suitcase gets our attention. Holly found inspiration in an old paint brush & created a fabulous handle..

This workshop will feel like going on a treasure hunt...

It will be an escape into our own creativity and sense of pure play.

All of my workshops center on using what we have and looking at things from a different point of view.

I believe deeply that we have what we need inside us.

When I create a class, I am talking directly to YOU, as if you were sitting beside me.

What to look forward to:

*six plus hours of video.

*detailed pictures & instructions.

*so much inspiration.

*a deep feeling of connection as we work on a project.

*feeling as if you are right beside me in my studio.

*lots of mixed media tricks and ideas...(photo transfers, collage, storytelling, etc).

*ways to weave pieces of ourselves and our story in our transformed luggage.

*a zoom meeting on Saturday, August 27th at 5pm, EST, so you can ask any question in real time. This session will be recorded and will be become part of the class.

*a private chat group that will be connected to the class and is not a part of social media. You can share your work and comment with others in the workshop.xo.
